i-Concept partner van cloudpaging eigenaar Numecent
Revolutionaire cloudpaging: Dropbox for Software
Numecent lanceerde in maart 2012 de nieuwe innovatie cloudpaging, waarmee de cloud als collectieve geheugenbuffer wordt gebruikt en programma’s als Photoshop en Office direct en zonder installatie vanuit een webportal kunnen worden gestart. Forbes, CNET en CIO magazine bestempelen deze vinding als revolutionair en als “Dropbox for software”.
i-Concept is in de bèta-fase betrokken en heeft PortalCMS software met cloudpaging verrijkt, waardoor aan PortalCMS gebruikers alle denkbare software kan worden aangeboden. Dit biedt mogelijkheden voor significante besparing op softwarelicenties omdat met een klein aantal “concurrent” licenties een veel groter aantal gebruikers kan worden bediend. Omdat er geen software-installatie nodig is, zal er ook op technische support bespaard worden. Cloud Paging is daarom bij uitstek interessant voor grote scholen, maar ook bij het MKB liggen enorme kansen.
